Dr. Amelia Leuer
Dr. Amelia Leuer, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and proud native of St. Michael–Albertville. Founding Pebbles Pediatric Dentistry is a dream come true for her, a way to give back to the very community that raised her. With over six years of specialized experience, Dr. Amelia brings both clinical expertise and a deep love for children into every patient interaction.
Her journey into dentistry began early. As the oldest of four siblings with a special affection for caring for kids, whether through babysitting, teaching piano, or leading horse-riding lessons, Dr. Amelia always knew she wanted to help children. Inspired by a hospital visit to meet her newborn brother, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. In college, her passions for science, artistry, and hands-on work led her to dentistry, and pediatric dental care proved to be the perfect match.
Dr. Amelia earned her undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and completed her pediatric dental residency at the prestigious Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has served as president of the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a professional staff member at Children’s Minnesota Hospital and a featured presenter at their Clinical Grand Rounds.
What sets Dr. Amelia apart is her patient- and family-centered approach. She tailors care to each child’s developmental and emotional needs, ensuring every visit is gentle, empathetic, and empowering. From infants to teens, including those with special health care needs, she provides thorough, compassionate care that earns the trust of families. Her favorite part of the job? Witnessing the transformation when a child who was once fearful leaves with a smile and newfound confidence.
Outside the office, Dr. Amelia finds joy in her faith, family, and community. She’s a wife, a mom to the little girl who inspired the name “Pebbles,” and someone who treasures playing piano, gardening, church life, and barre classes. For her, every child who walks through Pebbles’ doors is cared for as if they were her own.

From the moment you walk through our doors, we want you and your child to feel at ease. A child’s first visit sets the tone for a lifetime of dental experiences, which is why we make every detail count. Expect a warm welcome, a gentle introduction to the dental environment, and plenty of time to ask questions and share goals for your child’s health.

Our office was designed with children and families in mind. We’ve created a space that feels peaceful, welcoming, and just the right amount of playful. With tools and technology that support top-tier pediatric dentistry, we make sure your child’s visit is not only safe, but something they’ll look forward to.
Kid-focused waiting area
Our kids’ play area includes books, a Montessori busy board, and a cozy movie nook, all designed to help children feel excited about their visit and at home from the start.
Ceiling projectors and disney+
We transform checkups and treatments into calming moments with starry night projections and favorite shows playing on overhead screens. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference for comfort and distraction.
Thoughtful design and gentle lighting
Natural light, tranquil colors, and quiet rooms help create a soothing environment because helping children feel safe starts with how a space feels. We also use low lighting when possible to mimic quiet time and reduce overstimulation for our littlest patients.
Modern tools for gentle care
We offer digital X-rays for safer, low-radiation diagnostics and use A-dec equipment throughout our newly built clinic to ensure precision and comfort at every step of treatment.
